SeaVees - Maslon Clipper Class Desert Boot Dark Sand
12/62 MENS - MASLON DESERT BOOT CLIPPER CLASS SUEDED LEATHER SPECS
A tribute to the informality and simple elegance of Desert Modernism, the 12/62 Maslon Desert Boot Clipper Class is inspired by the elite business class on board Pan Am flights in the 1960s. A mid-cut lace-up sneaker, the uppers are made of luxurious suede with full grain leather accents and have punched eyelets and soft cotton laces. The perforated custom contoured footbed is lined in washed cotton canvas and provides cooling and comfort. SeaVees' signature herringbone rubber outsole design offers maximum slip resistance.
At the end of 1962, Richard Neutra completes the design of the Maslon House in Palm Springs, California. Inspired by the geographic surroundings of the Coachella Valley, the Maslon House was part of a distinctive design movement in the mid–20th century now called Desert Modernism.
